Description (Physical description)
Copper alloy, probably brass, head which is depicted with a wide open mouth, bearing sharp pointed teeth and a protruding tongue. Potentially a guardian spirit in Buddhism, as there is a third eye in the centre of the forehead. The headdress is decorated with flaming sections, flags and skulls. The ears are adorned with twisted, loop earrings. Three of the coral studs are missing from around the face.
