Description

11 pieces of fragmented sheet copper alloy, two pieces with iron rivets, four pieces with copper alloy rivets, one thick sheet metal folded over on itself with arcaded or circular decoration or moulding, one piece with a large piece of iron corroded onto it, and three small but thick sheets of copper alloy. Likely parts of vessels or cauldrons or mounts for caskets or buckets.

Context (Analysis)
On Tuesday 15th January 2019 Dr Jody Joy studies these fragments and has suggested the riveted pieces of thin sheet bronze were from vessels or cauldrons. The thicker pieces of decorated bronze may be from a casket or wooden container mount.
