Description (Physical description)
Poster or printed page of the Hindu deity 'Varaha', the boar headed avatar of Vishnu. He is shown with dark green skin, standing in a large body of water. He is shown with four arms, which are holding a pink lotus blossom, a club, chakra disc with a pentagram and a gold object. Balanced on the tusks and the forehead is the earth. He is shown wearing a yellow textile around the waist, numerous jewelled ornaments and headdress as well as a flower garland around the neck. This print is one of twenty-three coloured glossy printed pages of deities from the text by Raja Ravi Varma, "Gods of India".
