Description (Physical description)
Poster or printed page of the Hindu deity 'Kurma', who is half man and half turtle and an avatar of Vishnu. He is shown with four arms, which are holding a gold club, a disc with a pentagram, a pink lotus blossom and a chakra wheel. He is shown with the upper body of a man and the lower half of a turtle. He is adorned with numerous body ornaments, an elaborate headdress and a garland of pink lotus' around the neck. This print is one of twenty-three coloured glossy printed pages of deities from the text by Raja Ravi Varma, "Gods of India".
