Z number allocated on 30 4 1987. The inscription on the back of one of the prints gives an incorrect identification, " Kamadeva..." . The Hindi inscription on front is " Shri Rama Chaindonja." Description (Physical description)
Poster or printed page of the Hindu deity 'Mohini', who is the only female avatar of the deity Vishnu. Here she is depicted half female (on the right side of the poster) and as half male (on the left side of the print). Half of the face is shown with a moustache and the other half is shown with no moustache and a nose ornament. Shown with four arms; the front two arms resting in the lap with the p. right hand holding a trident (trishula) and the p. back left arm holding a tray of fire. Around the neck is a hooded cobra which emerges above the head next to a woman spitting out the river ganges from the top of the head. Next to the throne is a lion and Nandi the bull. This print is one of twenty-three coloured glossy printed pages of deities from the text by Raja Ravi Varma, "Gods of India".
