Description

Dark red hemispherical industrial vessel with two spouts, one small and complete, one larger and mostly missing; possibly an alembic or some other piece of a distillation unit. Centre of dome features a small tubular upright spout, collared by two horizontal ribs; side of vessel features a large spout, mostly missing; vessel rim features a right-angle internal seating flange. Sooting on internal and external surface towards flanged opening; vessel walls are a consistent thickness. Vessel is broken and in two pieces.
