'There were 2 basketry containers found in 'EB 483 Sri Lanka wood/basketry' box. One, with natural coloured flower pattern on faded red and purple, with pointed ends was labelled Z 20044. I have also labelled the other object, square with red with yellow, purple and natural geomeric patterns with this number as they both match the above description'. R. Hand 20/11/2000

Description (Physical description)
Purse, or wallet, made from woven plant fibre in geometric shapes. The shape of the wallet is rectangular with a separate lid, that is larger than the base. The plant fibre wallet has a red ground with bands of yellow, buff and black plant fibre woven across the piece.
