Description

Small crotal bell with intact suspension loop. Two holes in the upper half of the body, and the remnants of two more connected by an elongated sound slot in the lower half. The entire of one side of the lower half is now missing, the body having seemingly split either side of the sound slot. The upper half has Sunburst- style decoration, whilst the remaining side of the lower half is covered with a design resembling fish scales.

Nineteen apparently unaccessioned crotal bells (TEMP.00685-TEMP.00703) were found together in the museum store. Some or all of them may have been accessioned and become disassociated with their museum number, or they may never have been formally accessioned into the museum's collection.
