This bell was found in a bag of similar bells (TEMP.00685-TEMP.00703) with a handwritten note reading 'NO PROV'.

Description (Physical description)
Small crotal bell with intact suspension loop. Two holes in the upper half of the body, and two more connected by an elongated sound slot in the lower half. Both halves have highly worn Sunburst-style decoration, whilst the lower half also bears a maker's mark in the shape of a hammer or T-shape in raised relief. The inner cavity is empty. A small length of string and a piece of copper wire are affixed to the suspension loop.

Nineteen apparently unaccessioned crotal bells (TEMP.00685-TEMP.00703) were found together in the museum store. Some or all of them may have been accessioned and become disassociated with their museum number, or they may never have been formally accessioned into the museum's collection.
