Description
Small crotal bell with intact suspension loop. Two holes in the upper half of the body, and two more connected by an elongated sound slot in the lower half. The upper half is decorated with short radiating lines around the base of the suspension loop. The lower half has Sunburst-style decoration, though very highly worn, as well as a maker's mark in the shape of a hammer or T-shape surrounded by a semicircle. The inner cavity is empty. The outer surface is quite highly corroded and pitted.

Nineteen apparently unaccessioned crotal bells (TEMP.00685-TEMP.00703) were found together in the museum store. Some or all of them may have been accessioned and become disassociated with their museum number, or they may never have been formally accessioned into the museum's collection.
