Description
A hollow openwork pendant or fitting, with an intact sub-circular suspension loop at the apex. The body is in the form of two cones joined at their bases. There is one circular hole at the base and seven circumferential circular holes on both upper and lower halves of the body. Additional small holes suggest a more complex latticework, although many are now plugged with corroded copper material.

Context (Amendments / updates)
The Period field was originally populated with 'Roman', although this does not come from the Accession Register or the catalogue card. Due to the lack of context for this object, the current lack of any similar objects on the Portable Antiquities Scheme's database with which to compare it, and the fact that it was found stored with Post Medieval material, the Period field has been changed to '?Roman; ?Post Medieval' until a more secure date can be provided.
