Two thick plaited fringes at each end; these are longer at one end; geometric pattern in purple and cream consisting of a cream background with purple dots, almost in a checkered pattern; stripe of cream along each long edge; interspersed geometric motifs, including zig-zags and diamonds.

A note by Tabitha Cadbury, 20.1.2005 reads 'These Mexican belts were found with lots of other Mexican belts in MEXICO BOXES 11.G.1-11.G.2. The queried Z-numbers are NOT CORRECT as those objects have also been found. Need to check that they haven't already been accessioned under another number & if not, give them a new accession number.'

An additional note by Rachel Hand was added at the bottom reading: 'Given Temp No. TEMP.00673-6 5/11/2018. Now to rebox and update location on CMS.'
