Description
Kaku. A piece of natural coloured barkcloth, rectangular, used in burials. There are visible beating lines on the surface of the cloth, and it is creased in places, indicating that it has been folded in the past. The cloth is thin and translucent, with a number of tears throughout. A square in one corner is missing.

Kaku. A piece of rectangular natural coloured barkcloth, probably made from the inner bark of paper mulberry tree (broussoneta papyrifera), used in burials. There are visible beating lines on the surface of the cloth, and it is creased in places, indicating that it has been folded in the past. The cloth is thin and translucent, with a number of tears throughout. A square in one corner is missing.
