Context (Other)
This object does appear to broadly match the description of 1921.640, which currently has no storage location, but 1921.641 is also a mat with no location and a very generic description. The information from that excavation of Sedment has therefore been tentatively added to this record, but it could be that this is another mat from a different excavation altogether. The Sedment I publication should be checked to see if this mat can be definitely identified.

A note found in Rachel Hand's hand reads: 'Unknown object. ?Archaeological Textile. RH remembers this is associated with the model loom [TEMP.00619] (large + freestanding) from Oriental Studies'. Although this object was almost certainly part of the transfer of material from Oriental Studies, it is not related to the model loom.
