Description

Large rectangular upright loom, possibly a model, with cream-coloured woven fabric with fringe. The warp strings are attached to a lower and upper beam. At the bottom, the warp is attached to a piece of fabric that wraps around a rectangular piece of wood wedged into the base of the loom creating tension. The loom also features two shed sticks. The loom was found and possibly used with TEMP.00619.2-9

Mouse nest found inside wooden crate containing loom weights. Labels found inside may or may not relate to loom and have been bagged separately. Label mentioned in description tab reading 'D. I. H11' has been extensively nibbled and now reads '[I.] H11'

Large rectangular upright loom, possibly a model, with cream-coloured woven fabric with fringe. The warp strings are attached to a lower and upper beam. At the bottom, the warp is attached to a piece of fabric that wraps around a rectangular piece of wood wedged into the base of the loom creating tension. The loom also features two shed sticks. Attached to the back of the loom are two irregularly shaped false rocks coated in sand. The base of the loom sits in two cube shaped blocks of false sandstone. The loom was found and possibly used with TEMP.00619.2-9
