Context (Acquisition Details)
Material excavated by Addyman in the 1960s and only recently donated to the Museum, when it was catalogued in bulk records. The finds from the Late Saxon settlement (see PCAS vol. 64) and those late Medieval and Post Medieval finds from a fishpond and 18th century house (see Post-Medieval Archaeology vol. 6) may sometimes share a single record, which will ultimately need to be split further.

Two bags of assorted glass fragments intermixed with a clay pipe fragment, pottery sherds and a metal worked cross.

Description (Physical description)
Fourteen sherds from multiple vessels, one pipe bowl, twelve glass fragments, one copper alloy fixture in the shape of a Latin cross fleury and one blue bead. Rim and body sherds present with fabrics including St Neots ware, Essex Micaceous sandy ware and Ely ware. Five sherds are glazed.
