M. Backhouse: 'Very coarse, rough piece of barkcloth, not so finely beaten as the other specimens. It is not drawn or stamped. It is vertically striped reddish-brown, very dark brown, and a grey-brown in three sections, separated by two solid sections of very dark brown. It appears as if these stripes are made by ?natural dyes.'
