M. Backhouse: 'Large dark brown piece, made of three lengths of cloth stitched together and with patterning on one side and patches of similar barkcloth carefully stitched in. The major designs in the centre consist of nine vertical rows of thick, dark V's, separated by vertical lines. This is wholly framed by straight lines forming concentric rectangles, within which diagonal lines are drawn and spots are made.'
