Context (Field collection)
The Beck catalogue card lists the beads as coming 'from sites of ruined Arab towns in the vicinity of the British Somaliland. Ethiopian boundary 120 miles south of Zeila'. An exact provenance for these objects is therefore uncertain and the general regions of modern Somalia and Ethiopia have been added to the Place field.
