Description (Physical description)
Two paintings on silk for use as table mats. The top painting depicts a prince, the bottom depicts an actress dressed as a kinnaya, a bird woman. Sequins are used as decoration in the paintings. The figures are placed in the centre of a circle with a boarder of sequins and petal like motif. Around the outside of the designs are individual strands of fibre, probably string, with metallic accents twisted together.
The back of the frame is extremely loose and often falls out. There is a large amount of parcel tape attached to it. In addition there is a metal wire going across the width of the painting.
