Description
Ornamental fan decorated with a naga dragon and scales. The design in hugely intricate with red lacquer covering the handle, gilt and glass pieces being used for the face of the fan, and an inscription around the outer edge. There are a few pieces of glass missing, and some gilt has rubbed off, but the majority of the piece is in good condition.

[Singer, Noel Francis] The script around the outside records that it had been donated to a pagoda by two ladies names Ma Sin and Daw Ma Soe Min, who lived in the village Ma Khuak ner Monywa in Upper Burma.

Description (Physical description)
Ornamental fan decorated with a naga dragon and scales. The design in hugely intricate with red lacquer covering the handle, gilt and glass pieces being used for the face of the fan, and an inscription around the outer edge. There are a few pieces of glass missing, and some gilt has rubbed off, but the majority of the piece is in good condition. The face of the fan is decorated with red, silver and green glass pieces, displayed in a pattern replicating scales. Around the outside of the fan is a band of floral motif accompanied by Burmese script.
