Description (Physical description)
Large ceremonial sword with the handle and sheath decorated with red and green lacquer and gilt, floral motifs cover the outside of the sword. The blade of the sword is decorated on both sides with Burmese script and images, all gilded. There are a collection of fibre, possibly wool, attached to the sword sheath, with ten pom poms attached. There appears to be little damage to the sword, however the top of the handle has some white paint on it. The gilding on the outside of the sheath has rubbed off in some places, leaving green lacquer visible. The design of the item is extremely intricate, the entire sheath is covered in foliage and different types of motif. The blade in particular has a large amount of detail on it, with seven seated figures depicted down it's length separated by Burmese script.
