Description (Physical description)
A Ko-kaw-tee bowl covered in black lacquer and thayo (paste of lacquer and ash.) and gilded. The inscription on the underside notes the name of the maker and the location. The rim is badly damaged. The thayo consists of loops and tendrils and four panels each containing a couple of different tribal figures of the locality carrying an offering, one is blowing a pipe. It is thought these figure represent the subjects of the Sao Pha or Chief of Kengtung and they are coming to pay their respects at the haw (palace).
