A round label with metallic rim found with the object reads: '1916.126.6 ?' in black ink and, added later in pencil: 'MODEL OF THATCHING' on one side and 'SOLOMONS' on the other.

It is actually unknown whether this is even a collection object - there is no marking on the object and the label found with it (not attached to it) gives a number that corresponds to a comb from Vanuatu.
