Description
A tall bamboo bowl depicting scenes from a Burmese play 'The Emerald Box' or 'Pya Zat' expressed in yok-thei style. The lacquer is damaged around the base exposing the bamboo and it is heavily chipped around the rim. A large crack is around the bottom third of the body. This has had repair work done as old glue can be seen around the crack.
