Description
Clay foundation cone with Sumerian cuneiform inscription. The inscription reads: 'For Ningirsu, the strong warrior of Enlil Gudea, Governor of Lagash, built the temple "Imgig is Brilliant" and built a hall of columns(?) of cedar wood as a place of judgement'.

Context (Amendments / updates)
The catalogue card spells the warrior's name as 'Kingirsu'. Dr Martin Worthington, Lecturer in Assyriology at the University of Cambridge, confirms that it should be 'Ningirsu' and this has been updated accordingly.
