Context (Acquisition Details)
The Arkell collection was first deposited at MAA in 1937. In 1954, some material was transferred and gifted to the Pitt Rivers Museum, Oxford. The rest of the original deposit was gifted to MAA. New accession numbers were not assigned to the collection, so Arkell collection objects continue to be known by their D numbers, despite no longer being on deposit.

Accession Register notes "At donors request some of this material was transferred to Pitt-Rivers Museum in 1954. These items erased or marked 'To P.R.'. In December 1954 all items 1-258 except those those transferred to Pitt Rivers Museum were given absolutely to UMAE by Arkell."

Thick brass bracelet, open with two uneven terminals. Uneven pitted surface of bracelet decorated with two incised liens and three incised circles at each terminal. Tama child's bracelet 'Irigik', in Dar Tama.
