Context (Analysis)
Given the typed display label with which it is mounted, it is more likely that this brooch is actually be 1913.226, a bow brooch with spring collected from Barrington and donated by the Rev. John William Edward Conybeare, rather than 1948.926 B, which was collected by Richard Neville (Lord Braybrooke). It may have been subsequently misidentified as 1948.926 B and marked accordingly.
