Description

Copper alloy brooch with intact pin and catchplate, part of spring detached but present. Apex of bow decorated with transverse grooved lines and a blue glass bead attached through a perforation in the bow. Foot decorated with a constricted knob and four curved wires, only one of which is intact.

They date in the transition period between Hallstatt and La Tene, circa 500 - 400 BC but are not of types that I can find record of as characteristic of this district. 1924.976 A in particular is very Pyrenean - Spanish looking - CF; Date: 4 Century BC; 3 Century BC -
