Description (Physical description)
Scoop or spoon of pearl shell, the top incorporated part of the hinge of the bivalve. The sides expand out and are both notched and perforated at their larger point, then narrow down towards the blade. The blade has been sharpened and is slightly chipped. The drilling of the sides could indicate that this object was in the process of being turned into an ornament.
