This object was found unaccessioned at Shorts on 05/01/2017 and has now been given a Temporary Number in accordance with MAA’s documentation procedures. It was previously incorrectly identified as 1927.1932 based on a loose label. 1927.1932 is a totally different object currently on display.

Piece of architectural carving with scalloped edges carved with a ?dragon on one side and a quadruped (?hare) on the other side. Cracked across centre and secured with wire.

Description (Physical description)
An architectural carving of wood in three pieces joined with dowels in an arch shape. On one side there is a bat amongst clouds and on the other side is a hare amongst clouds and foliage. There are three iron nails on the top of the arch.
