This object was previously in the collection of Harry Geoffrey Beasley, no.3129. It is recorded in Beasley's original acquisition register (vol.3) as: 'SOLOMON GROUP. ULAWA: - Three simple fish hooks of pinna shell. Bought from the Melanesian Mission, Church House, Westminster. Formerly the L.P. Robin collection, a missionary in the island prior to 1900.' It was purchased on 05 September 1932 [Lucie Carreau, 06/09/2017].
