This basket was purchased from artist and weaver Wayne Boniface on Wednesday 22 June 2016. The Norfolk Island weavers meet every Wednesday mornings at the Golden Orb Café in Burnt Pine to weave and showcase their creations.

Description (CMS Description)
Basket of pandanus leaf - the pale pandanus leaf was processed in Pitcairn Island and the darker colour was processed in Tonga, both purchased by the weaver, Wayne Boniface and combined to form this basket. The patterns are custom patterns but the technique used in the weaving is inspired by Maori weaving.
