This object was purchased on Norfolk Island, during fieldwork carried out by Lucie Carreau to research the legacy of the Melanesian Mission on Norfolk Island between 18-25 June 2016.

Context (Field collection)
The frame was purchased from the Aatuti Art Gallery in Burnt Pine, Norfolk Island on 23 June 2016. Aatuti Art Gallery displayed works by artists Sue Pearson and was managed by Sue Pearson's parents, Jan and John. John passed away in the summer of 2016.
Collected and purchased by Lucie Carreau with Crowther Beynon funds in June 2016.

Context (Amendments / updates)
The print registered as 2016.194.1 was originally displayed in this frame framed but as it was not safe to ship it with glass, the frame was removed by John Pearson and shipped separately. The frame was treated with boric prior to being shipped to Australia to comply with Australia's importation regulations with respect to organic material.
