Description
A modern plaster cast of the bottom section of the east side of Stela D. This section of the casts have much smaller glyphs that the other imagery on the east of Stela D. This section of text details the erection of the stela and refers to a personal name for the stela composed of a plant name and a weather god - the godly name of the 7 Ajaw stone. What follows in reference to scattering a liquid, this could also mean blood or incense,. There is the name K'Akh'Tiliw Chan Yopaat and the title for 'scatterer' followed by the emblem glyph of Quirigua. What follows is a new cycle which details a previous even in history. Something was burnt and a mythological entity and place is referenced. An event is then observed by K'Ahk'Tiliw.

On his visit, on 15th July 2016, Dr Christian Prager from the Univeritat Bonn explained this section of the stela. See description field for this information. He also noted that not all monumnets of this nature have personal names, as detailed in the description. The stelae at Quirigua, and some in other select areas, are exceptions to this.
