Description (CMS Description)
One of two translucent, circular shields. Said by donor to be of buffalo hide boiled in oil, but the appearance is similar to that of the gut bottles from India. Most of the surface is painted an amber colour, but there are traces of conventional floral decoration in white, green and pink on a gilt ground on the edges and bosses.
