On 27th February 2015 Dr Helen Geake remarked that whilst solid heart-shaped badges have been seen elsewhere, there are currently no known parallels for openwork heart shaped badges as seen in this group of material.

Description (Physical description)
Lead pilgrim badge in the form of a large, openwork heart. Main heart shape bordered with granulated decoration, in the open centre is a floral motif with two complete stem like decorations connecting it to the main body and a broken third stem from the base of the heart, on the outer edge of the heart is the same flower and stem decoration with the stem broken on one side, a final flower sits at the base of the heart on its outer edge. Pin is missing.
