Description
Copper alloy badge in the form of an open-work lion statant with a double folded tail being anchored to the left ear, fully moulded to the front but flat to the reverse. The body of the lion is long and thin, the facial features are indicated mainly by circular knops, the musculature of the body is well rendered; there are three rounded toes on each paw; the mane and fur on the legs are delineated by a series of fine lines; further detail at the middle and end of the tail depicts tufts of fur. The flat reverse is undecorated.
