Description

Copper alloy disc brooch with guilding; circular central setting with a foil backed garnet surrounded by a meerschaum setting. Two trapezoidal garnets without foil backing. Outer edge is decorated with ridges and possible geometric patterns; large parts of the brooch surrounding the central setting have come away and are missing. Pin bar lug obscured by a small amount of corroded iron pin; catchpiece is largely intact and also shows evidence of the corroded iron pin.
