Catalogue card 2: Brass-headed title staffs IWANA OGUN, for OGUN, the god of iron. Technically these are pokers used by blacksmiths. The precious metal of the traditional Yorumonkey, The iron blade of poker ends in a hook.

Catalogue card 1: Sceptre of brass and iron. Man at end, monkey in middle.
'Added in different hand "B. Ogboni society - edan, probably Egba Yoruba (Abeokuta) (face masks are Egba, the hat typical of Abeokuta Ogboni)".'
B. has brass figure of a kneeling man on top holding an ada (ceremonial sword) in his right hand and a curved ? in his left. Half way down is the seated figure of a monkey.
