Description (CMS Description)
Seal - One of seventy-seven seals of Indian princes and governments impressed in red, black, yellow and brown sealing wax. 66) (i) Viceroys of India, round within round, 5" in diameter, bearing the Royal Arms and, round them, in English, the name with English titles of the Viceroy. (ii) Viceroys of India, oval within octagonal, oval seal (4.5" x 3.75") bearing name with titles in Persian. (iii) Viceroys of India, square (gilted) within octagonal, the square is called the small seal, bearing the same titles also in Persian.
