Written in Perso-Arabic. Samthar was a princely state in Bundelkhand. This could be the seal of Chhatar Singh who was Raja from 1865-1877; before this there was a queen regent. The other Samthar seal (Z 46842.21) was from 1810 so it is hard to say. [Information provided by Danika Parikh, Department of Archaeology]
