Context (CMS Context)
Written in Perso-Arabic script. The English on the back looks like Nuwab of Badni, 64, Bundelkhand. Baoni was the only Muslim-ruled princely state in Bundelkhand. This may be the seal of Emam ad-Dowla Hosayn who was Nawab of Baoni from 1859-1883. It must have been collected in 1864. [Information provided by Danika Parikh, Department of Archaeology]
