Written in Perso-Arabic script. The English on the back says Maharaja Runjeet Singh of Jessulmere 64. Ranjit Singh was ruler of Jaisalmer from 1846-1864. Presumably the seal was collected in 1864. Jaisalmer was a Rajput kingdom and princely state in Rajasthan. [Information provided by Danika Parikh, Department of Archaeology]
