Context (CMS Context)
Written in Perso-Arabic script. Think the English writing at the back says ‘Oorcha’ which is an old British spelling for Orchha, a princely state in Bundelkhand. This might be the seal of Hamir Singh was Raja and then Maharaja of Orchha from 1848-1874. (The title was changed in 1865 so you could get a better idea of when the seal is from depending on what it calls him). [Information provided by Danika Parikh, Department of Archaeology]
