Context (Acquisition Details)
The Accession Register tentatively gives the source for this idno as St John's College, Cambridge, which tallies with Walker's publication (1912, p. 122) in which he notes that the objects from Grange Road were found on St John's College property and belong to the College. The date of the donation is currently unknown, but it seems likely that it was from St John's College possibly via F.G. Walker or perhaps the Cambridge Antiquarian Society.

Context (Amendments / updates)
These objects may be the 'several pieces of bronze to which it is difficult to assign an age' that was discovered 'in the course of digging' to build the house called Saxmeadham. However, the handwritten note does not clarify this, it does not have a label affixed to it, as do others of this idno, giving more details so it is impossible to know for sure. Nevertheless, all the information regarding the Saxmeadham site has been tentatively added to this record.
