Also with the object is an envelope written on in pencil which reads: 'W. Rodwell Gt. Chesterford 1948 excavation J.G.S Brinson ?Patin coin (apparently unlocated) Type P1' and there is an additional note written in pen which reads: 'Recorded by Allan Mar. 1974'.

Description (CMS Description)
Small bronze disc-shaped fragment. A concentric design of three circles on one side, the reverse shows two circles; one encasing the other with six linear shapes. Possibly the inner part of coin.

Context (Amendments / updates)
The 1948 Brinson excavation material was largely deposited in 1970 by Mrs King. This object might well have come in at the same time. Therefore, she is tentatively added as a Source.
