Also with the object is an envelope written on in pencil which reads: 'W. Rodwell Gt. Chesterford 1948 excavation J.G.S Brinson ?Patin coin (apparently unlocated) Type P1' and there is an additional note written in pen which reads: 'Recorded by Allan Mar. 1974'.

The 1948 Brinson excavation material was largely deposited in 1970 by Mrs King. This object might well have come in at the same time. Therefore, she is tentatively added as a Source.
