'1923.101 A / Ysabel / (Solomons)' inscribed in black ink on the blade. 'Bougotu SI / Paddle' inscribed in pencil on the blade.

Description (CMS Description)
Canoe paddle of light coloured wood. The blade used to be leaf-shaped but is not broken on one side (clean straight break). Undecorated. The shaft is more polished than the blade or pommel – maybe showing that this object has been handled a lot. Narrow tubular pommel.
