Context (CMS Context)
numbers such as O.VI.55.H.A. were given to the collection by Anatole von Hügel. It is currently unknown whether this numbering system was something he applied to his own personal collection, or something he devised as the Museum’s first numbering system. In all cases, the presence of an ‘A’ in superscript at the end seem to refer to an object that has been purchased rather than something that was collected by von Hügel in the Pacific.
