Context (Acquisition Details)
The entry for 1888.34 in the Accession Register covers two crucifix figures, both donated by Anatole von Hugel and both from Abbeville. At a later date each crucifix figure was given a unique 'Z number', in this case Z 11505.

Description (Physical description)
Copper alloy crucifix figure. Christ’s head inclined slightly towards His right; arms raised; horizontal lines on upper body to define ribs; knee-length loincloth; legs crossed with one foot above the other. Forearms are broken off and missing; perforation to each foot; traces of gilding present on surface, mostly to the back which is hollow.
